Position purpose:

The Position Description Summary (PDS) Specialist will consult with managers across the region on position content (work activities, requirements, scope) to ensure quality PDSs are created by managers. This position will build relationships with managers and develop working knowledge of the businesses in which Cargill operates. This position will require a strong compliance mindset and willingness to push back and challenge managers to ensure work activities are captured accurately and that governance is followed.

The Position Management Coordinator will be the main point of contact for managers, employees and HR professionals requesting services related to position management or PDS creation. The position is responsible to coordinate and/or consult with other teams and colleagues, e.g. Compensation, Market HR, PDS Specialists until the completion of the service requests, keep the clients informed about the progress of the requests and provide them with a final resolution.

The support provided is for position management request that may include new ID creation, updates, duplications and other enquiries about position attribute updates.

Responsibilities:

50% Relationship and Position Management

  • Collect the necessary information to create new positions working with clients and where needed with other HR professionals;
  • Work directly with managers to review and provide consultation on PDSs. Gain trust through strong communication and listening skills. Using deep knowledge of the Global Job Catalog (GJC) and other businesses and functions, provide solutions and support to properly document the position content;
  • Build and sustain quality working relationships with Recruitment, Global Mobility and Compensation teams. Learn upstream and downstream processes to PDS creation including Recruiting, Position Mapping, and Market Content to build trust and add value with HR colleagues;
  • Collaborate with HR Professionals and other internal stakeholders to ensure solutions meet the needs of clients, and balance when to raise questions to the HR Business Partner. Gain working understanding of Enterprise and Functional transformations and restructures to identify types of positions coming down the pipeline;
  • Act as an Approver of roles up to Associate Professional band across Europe Russia and Ukraine, for all Company`s businesses;
  • Set up of new positions;
  • Update where required the attributes of the positions;
  • Employ general knowledge of the Global Job Catalogue (GJC), the GJC codes, cost centers and legal entities structure to complete the service requests;
  • Understand and apply Cargill’s promotion practices and policies across the region and resolving various customer requests;
  • Send and save final PDS in repository;

20% Process Champion

  • Follow identified process and use tools provided to consult with managers on solutions and documentation that uses consistent application of standards and requirements;
  • Continuous Improvement: continue to build on and improve on position documentation and look for synergies and similarities within job families and across the organization, update the position management team documentation;
  • Identify process improvements and work through appropriate channels for approval;

15% Compliance

  • Governance: Ensure appropriate governance is followed for when a PDS can be created or updated. Ensure managers understand subsequent steps in the process (mapping to the GJC/band) prior to posting;
  • Position Content: Responsible to challenge managers when necessary in documenting accountabilities and requirements. Responsible to maintain appropriate use of the GJC in documenting work activities. Responsible to ensure PDS is adequately completed and accurate;
  • Ensure managers understand subsequent steps in the process (mapping to the GJC/band) prior to posting;

10% Research, Analysis & Tools

  • Subject matter expert in the GJC. Educate managers and employees on the tool. Understand other applications of the catalog including career development to better serve managers. Identify and recommend changes in Jobs or Job Families at Cargill following the GJC Maintenance Process & Governance, based on learnings on how positions are being structured;
  • Develop working knowledge of HR systems including MyHR and Taleo to improve partnerships;
  • Keep all Remedy Force service requests up to date – leave accurate notes, attach any additional information provided, i.e. all actions should be reflected in the request history;
  • Create new draft job postings in Taleo upon manager’s request. Coordinate with the Recruitment team on urgent cases;
  • Create/modify positions in MyHR Info (EC); includes position changes after posting for regional positions;
  • Participate in projects or initiatives to support related processes;

5% Other

  • Perform other tasks as requested by the direct manager or a senior team member. Act as a Quality Assurance upon supervisor’s appeal by reviewing number of incidents and evaluate them following specific criteria.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to execute processes and HR solutions
  • 3 or more years of Human Resources/Business experience
  • High level English proficiency
  • Strong oral communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate, influence, and negotiate with and present to multiple levels of management
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to challenge the status quo
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to partner, build, and sustain positive working relationships
  • Able to perform successfully in ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in job documentation;
  • Working knowledge of Cargill’s Global Job Catalog;
  • Proven ability to effectively deliver projects and processes Human Resources;
  • Experience consulting with some stakeholder groups (i.e. Business HR, Managers/Employees);
  • Demonstrated experience participating in change efforts characterized by effective communications and strong partnerships;
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical level.
